What to expect from your assessment
A psychological assessment is more than a testing appointment. We combine background information, questionnaires, interviews, direct testing and professional interpretation to answer the referral questions and recommend practical next steps.
Choose the right service
Use the assessment selector or speak with our intake team. We confirm the service, format, price and expected schedule before testing.
Consent, forms and records
You receive secure consent and intake forms. We may request school records, previous reports, medical information or questionnaires from parents, teachers, partners or other people who know the client well.
Interviews and testing
Appointments may be virtual, in person or hybrid. Testing can be divided across sessions when that improves comfort, attention or validity.
Professional review and interpretation
The regulated psychology professional responsible for the assessment reviews the full record, interprets the results, considers diagnosis and approves the final conclusions.
Written report within one week
The one-week timeline begins after all appointments, forms, requested records and payment are complete.
Results meeting and next steps
We meet with you to explain the findings, answer questions and review recommendations. A doctor letter or Disability Tax Credit form is included when applicable and supported.
What testing may feel like
Depending on the service and the person's age, activities may involve conversation, problem solving, memory, reading, writing, math, questionnaires or structured observation. Some tasks feel like puzzles or games; others are more school- or work-like.
How to prepare
Complete forms on time, send requested records, make sure the client is rested and bring any required glasses, hearing devices or technology. We provide service-specific instructions before the appointment.
